Installation Methods for Wood-Plastic Composite

WPC (Wood-Plastic Composite) Installation Method (Simplified Version)

  • Base Preparation

    1. Level and clean the base (floor/wall), ensure it’s dry and debris-free, slope ≥2‰ (anti-waterlogging)

    2. Mark lines per layout, leave 5-10mm expansion gap (for thermal expansion)

    3. Let WPC boards acclimate on-site for 24 hours first

  • Core Installation

    • Floor Installation (Most Common)

      1. Floating method (Recommended): Lay moisture-proof mat → Install keel (spacing 300-400mm) → Snap-fit boards, leave expansion gap

      2. Direct laying: Lay boards directly on compact base, fix edges with trim strips

    • Wall Installation

      1. Keel fixing: Fix keel to wall with expansion screws → Fasten boards with clips/self-tapping screws (screw spacing 200-300mm)

      2. Note: Leave 3-5mm ventilation gap between boards and wall

  • Finishing

    1. Trim edges with edge strips and corner profiles to hide cuts

    2. Clean the surface after installation, avoid scratches from sharp objects
